Sinandigan, Ubay
Sinandigan (officially Barangay Sinandigan) is one of the 44 barangays constituting the municipality of Ubay, in the province of Bohol, Philippines.
The barangay's total land area is approximately 607.278[2] and has a population of 1,923[3]as of 2007. In the last 2010 National election, it has 993[4]registered voters.
Barangay Sinandigan celebrates its annual fiesta every December 8 in honor of their patron saint.
Location
Located on the eastern part of the municipality, barangay Sinandigan overlooks Bohol Sea to the east. It is bounded by barangay Union to the north, to the south by barangay Benliw and the west by barangay Imelda . It has approximate distance of 10 km from the town center, Poblacion.
History
Barangay Sinandigan is once a sitio of barangay Tapal before it became a separate barangay. The name Sinandigan came from the Visayan word sandig which means to cause to assume a leaning or to recline.
Government
There are seven puroks or units in the barangay manned by the elected kagawads including the Punong Barangay or Barangay chairman.
